Unlocking Boss Rush
Clear Story Mode milestones through Normal and into Nightmare before Boss Rush portals activate in the lobby. Exact act gates shift with Lunmei patches — check in-game locks if portal is missing.
Arrive with at least one evolved S-tier DPS (Ichigo, Megumo, or banner equivalent) plus Idol or Brojo Support — under-geared teams wipe on first boss enrage.
Rewards and unit unlocks
Boss Rush progression unlocks Kid Boo — Meta late-game AoE burst per Destructoid Re-Release tier list.
Balzen (Final Form) shares the Boss Rush obtain path and occupies the same Meta tier for burst-focused comps.
Additional materials may drop for evolution — stack with HolyMoly Rainbow Essence from Re-Release codes.
